▲ Lorsqu'il était ado, il était quelqu'un de timide qui avait beaucoup de mal avec les filles.

Elle riait, oui, elle riait à s'en tordre les côtes. Dieu ce qu'elle était bruyante, dieu ce qu'elle prenait de la place mais ce qu'elle était indispensable, la Jude. « Ca te dérange pas que je sois au travail la ? Et qu'est-ce qui te fait autant rire » Soren n'avait qu'une envie, c'était de se joindre à la brunette, de rire avec elle, de voir ses grands yeux s'ouvrir et se refermer avec joie, il voulait rire, il voulait prendre sa main, l'emmener chez lui. Mais casser son image de bad boy râleur ? Jamais. Après tout, Soren, c'était juste ce flic toujours de mauvaise humeur. Il avait parfaitement conscience qu'avoir Jude à ses côtés pour faire ce type de recherche était purement inutile mais Soren n'avait aucune envie de renvoyer la jeune femme chez elle. Il aurait été le dernier à l'avouer mais il avait besoin de compagnie, de SA compagnie. Il avait besoin d'entendre ce fond sonore, ce rire mélodique, il avait besoin de l'entendre elle, tout simplement. « Allez Soso, trouves quelque chose » se contenta-t-elle de répondre entre deux éclats de rire. Non mais "Soso", sérieusement ? Le truc, c'est que Soso ne trouvait plus rien depuis une bonne semaine. Cela en faisait trois qu'il avait offert ses services de policier à la jolie Jude pour l'aider à retrouver sa famille biologique et déjà deux qu'il avait exploité de fond en comble la moindre information et tiré tout ce qu'il pouvait en tirer. Il ne restait plus rien mais il savait qu'arrêter ses recherches équivaudrait à ne croiser Jude qu'au café du coin, à ne plus la voir tous les soirs et il en avait besoin, elle mettait du piment dans ses journées maussades, elle était le piment qu'il recherchait depuis qu'il avait mis les pieds dans cette ville au quotidien répétitif et morose et il savait parfaitement que la voir partir du commissariat équivaudrait à retrouver son quotidien lent et inutile. Puis elle posa sa main sur la sienne, l'espace d'un instant, il y eut quelque chose, cette tendresse, cette douceur, cette petite "étincelle". Mais Judie aussi, était bien trop fière, elle aussi, pour avouer son attirance pour le beau brun. Elle se mit alors à secouer la main de Soren, pas d'une façon trop brutale comme l'on secoue une bouteille de ketchup, mais comme si elle avait eu une légère crise d’épilepsie. « voilà, je t'ai rechargé, tu peux continuer tes recherches » s'expliqua-t-elle avant de rire à nouveau d'une manière légèrement forcé. Bonjour, Jude, experte pour ruiner les moments amoureux. Ah Jude, ce qu'elle était bruyante, immature, pénible, mais bordel, ce qu'elle était belle.
